What is Chypre Fragrance Family

Chypre – is a name given to fragrance group characterized by combination of citrus top notes – mostly bergamot, with middle notes of labdanum and oakmoss base notes. It has been names after Coty “Chypre” created in 1917, which literally means Cyprus in French (a European island). Chypre perfume evokes the aromas of Mediterranean countries: refreshing, green, delicate.

Chypre combined with peaches, mandarins and strawberries can be really seductive.
